Really Root Beer Tea pours that soda fountain nostalgia into a cozy herbal cup. Burdock root and sarsaparilla root build a deep, toasty base. Sassafras root bark and birch bark lend woodsy sweetness that feels classic. Fennel, anise, ginger, cinnamon, and juniper add warming spice, while licorice root rounds the edges with natural sweetness. The result is a robust root beer tea with a smooth finish and a hint of vanilla-like lift. Enjoy it hot for a comforting evening ritual or over ice for a bright, refreshing sip. It's great on its own, and fun as a mixer in creamy tea lattes when you want dessert energy without the soda.
Brewing Instructions: Brew 1-2 teaspoons of tea/8oz of water at 203 degrees and steep for 4-5 minutes. For stronger flavor, use more tea leaves. For iced tea simply double the amount of tea used during brewing and steep with the same amount and temperature of hot water, and when finished, simply pour over a cup of ice.

The Real Deal!
I was excited the moment I opened the pouch: it smelled exactly like root beer! I brewed it double strength, added some sweetener and a bit of vanilla flavor, and shook it with ice. It was delicious, and almost exactly like root beer. Just would like it a bit stronger, but I will experiment with brewing. I definitely will buy more to brew up a container of "root beer" in the fridge!

the tea is great but I won't order again. I had messaged Nelson's to only please send vegan samples if they send any. I understand I don't have to use the chocolate orange tea, but by sending it to me it increases demand which is against my ethics. I won't order again to ensure I don't get another dose of bovine mammary secretions sent with my order.
